Take a look at a very small sample of my client work. Sports, lifestyle, action, activity, and in-use product photography are my specialty.
Bossi Bicycles
The brief: Bossi Bicycles needed some product and lifestyle photos of the newly redesigned SX gravel frame. Naturally, the gorgeous Fox Creek Bike Park was the logical place to photograph the frame in action with its dramatic backdrops and adventure aesthetic.
Gear used: Canon Eos R3 with RF 70-200 mm f2.8, RF 85 mm f1.2, and Sigma 50mm f1.4 DG DN Art.
BikeBox
The brief: capture a range of BikeBox’s products in the incredible Gawler Ranges in Outback South Australia. We shot across multiple locations from the rocky trail up Mt Ive, the mind-boggling salt flats of Lake Gairdner, and some of the heavenly gravel roads in the area. BikeBox’s delivery gallery covered multiple of their brands; Orbea bikes, Schwalbe tyres, and Exposure Lights.
Gear used:
Canon Eos R3 with RF 70-200 mm f2.8 and RF 85 mm f1.2.
Fujifilm XH2 with Fujinon XF 35 mm F2.
Dog Sled Racing SA
The brief: the fine folks who run dog sled racing wanted to showcase their national series event in South Australia and create some quality assets to grow their community. What unfolded was the most hilarious weekend of event shooting I’ve experienced as I got to know the sport, the competitors, and the incredible four-legged athletes at the centre of it all. The challenges were many; freezing temperatures, brutally uneven forest light, and erratically moving subjects. In spite of all this, dog sledding / bikejoring / trail running is now my favourite sport to photograph.
Gear used:
Canon Eos R3 with RF 70-200 mm f2.8 and RF 85 mm f1.2.
Canon Eos R6 with a Sigma 50mm f1.4 and Canon RF 24-70 f2.8.
The Pedla
The brief: Melbourne bicycle apparel maker The Pedla wanted their new Off Grid collection shoot to tell narratives of remoteness, adventure, and social gravel riding in a location completely new to their core market. I organised the riders, designed a course in one of my favourite riding regions, and shot the entire ride from on the bike. I love shooting while in motion. The viewpoints and angles I can capture are identifiable to their target market, giving riders the aspirational urge to grab their bike and hit the dirt roads.
Gear used:
Fujifilm XH2 with Fujinon XF 35 mm F2 and 56 mm f1.2.
